1990 9C1! Directly from the The Belvidere Police Department. Apparently used as a auxiliary vehicle.

How cool is that? Very rare nowadays to see the actual police department selling the boxys anymore.

Just a guess, but one/all of the gauges in the 9C1 gauge cluster may have failed and, to a police dept. maintenance person, the most expedient way of fixing would probably be to install an aftermarket gauge.

I just bought it so I'll keep You guys updated when I make a pick up next week.

At this stage i'm fighting for the equipment which they want to keep - as they say: department policy... Anyhow what they keep I need to find somewhere else coz I want to bring this Chevy back to its former glory

Congrats on your purchase. Looks like a nice ride and it's especially rare these days to get one straight from the PD.

What equipment are they trying to keep?

They didnt precise what equipment must stay at PD and which they can let go with the car. I still have only mail contact because I'm from Europe and someone else is handling for me this transaction in US.

Next week friend of mine is going to pick up the car and we will se exactly which equipment they will keep. Probably they keep lightbar and radios. I hope at least center console and searchlight will stay with the car...

Anyhow I have to start looking for lightbar...

Lots to tell about but finally i got car at workshop - next week we put a final paint. I'll try to put some pictures here of things which has been already done.

All I can tell that the body was in bad shape - lots of work has been done since 9c1 arrived. Engine, suspension and actually everything (except body) is really in good condition. Came with new tires, exhaust and fuel tank...
